Magetan. Mentally retarded people in Simbatan Village were gathered together by the village government and social services and were given training in making “batik ciprat”. The research aims to describe the existence of mental retardation in the village of Simbatan in making “batik ciprat”. This research is descriptive qualitative, by obtaining research data through interviews, observation, and documentation. The research results showed that people with mental retardation in Simbatan were able to produce works in the form of “batik ciprat”. “batik ciprat” is made by splashing “malam” (batik coloring material) into the cloth using a brush. “batik ciprat” was chosen because it allows retardation to do it easily. Siswa merasa bosan dengan model pembelajaran konvensional yang sering digunakan guru. <em>Dalam memilih model pembelajaran yang tepat haruslah memperhatikan kondisisiswa, sifat materi bahan ajar, fasilitas media yang tersedia</em><em>. </em>Model pembelajaran <em>Scramble </em>dengan media <em>Question Card </em>merupakan daya dukung utama bagi guru untuk menciptakan suasana belajar siswa secara aktif, menumbuhkan kreativitas dan semangat siswa untuk mempelajari materi-materi&nbsp; yang&nbsp; ada&nbsp; di&nbsp; dalamnya. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian <em>True Eksperimental</em>. Desain penelitian <em>Postest Only Control</em> desain. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV sebanyak 48 siswa yang terdiri dari 24 siswa kelas IV eksperimen dan 24 siswa kelas kontrol. Penentuan sampel di dalam penelitian ini menggunakan <em>simple random sampling</em>. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik tes. Dalam menganalisis data menggunakan metode statistik dengan rumus uji-t dengan taraf signifikan 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh signifikan model pembelajaran <em>Scramble </em>dengan media <em>Question Card </em>terhadap hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas IV SDN Kertosari II di Kabupaten Madiun. But in reality, students of class VI SDN Rejomulyo 1 Kras Kediri still had difficulty writing essays, especially in the form of scientific explanatory texts. Students need media that can facilitate their imagination to develop into an essay. The use of Flash card media aims to improve the skills of writing scientific explanatory texts in class VI students. The ability to develop scientific explanatory texts will affect other basic competencies, especially those directly related to a phenomenon or natural phenomenon. This media can facilitate students in developing their ideas and then pour in effective sentences using standard words, so that students do not experience deadlock in writing sentences. The innovative work of flash card learning media uses classroom action research methods for two cycles and each cycle lasts for two meetings. This class action research assesses the improvement in the ability to write scientific explanatory texts as the main data. At the end of each meeting, students are assessed for their ability to write scientific explanatory texts. At the end of the first cycle there was an increase in the class average of 18.52 to 75.37. The results of cycle one have not fulfilled the determined success indicators because they have not reached ≥ 77.78% of the number of students who have completed. The second cycle shows that there is an increase in class average of 10.74 from cycle one to 86.11. Especially for teachers or prospective elementary school/madrasah ibtidaiyah (Islamic school) teachers who will instill the basic mathematical concepts for students. This research is intended to identify the main problems faced by prospective students of primary school/Islamic elementary school in solving basic math problems. This research is a qualitative descriptive study with research subjects as students of PGMI IAIN Ponorogo. Generally, the results of the study show that there are two main problems faced by prospective students of elementary school teachers or madrasah ibtidaiyah (Islamic school) at IAIN Ponorogo. First, there is still a low understanding of the basic concepts of mathematics. Mathematical logic is the material with the highest number of incomprehension than other materials. The conceptual misunderstandings occur evenly in each group of students, both from MA (Islamic school), Senior High School and Vocational School. However, the number of misunderstanding of vocational students tends to be higher. Second, there is a misconception. The highest misconception occurs in material numbers and algebraic operations. Even though in limited numbers, misconceptions were found in other basic mathematical concepts. But most elementary school / MI teacher candidates have difficulty in learning fractions. This needs to be analyzed because if a prospective teacher teaches many mistakes, then it can be ascertained that students who are taught will also experience the same thing. So that as students of elementary / MI teacher candidates must have adequate mastery of material. This research is a qualitative research that produces data on the problems of PGMI IAIN students in learning fractions.
