Abstract

Management of inclusive learning is different from that in regular schools because it requires special preparation. This study aims to describe management of inclusive learning at Al Azhar Tulungagung Islamic Elementary School. This research employed descriptive qualitative approach, collecting data using observation techniques, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data analysis includes data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions while data validity test includes extending observations, increasing persistence, and triangulating data. The results showed that (1) the learning strategies carried out by making lesson plans and PPI according to ABKs needs and characteristics, implementing inclusive classes carried out simultaneously in one class with class teacher and GPK, (2) assessment of learning outcomes in terms of attitudes, skills and knowledge are carried out every week, midterm and end of semester in numerical and descriptive form, (3) teacher provides learning motivation to students through stories and verses of the Qur'an and giving rewards, (4) GPK has full control over learning in inclusive classes regarding decision making and determining learning media to ABK (5) curriculum used is modificated K-13 that is adapted to ABKs needs and characteristics, (6) management of facilities and infrastructure is very adequate for implementation of inclusive education with availability of inclusive classrooms and special classrooms for children with special needs who need therapy.
